Planter, Baker, Tea Cookie Maker
I am not a baker by trade, just a foodie with an entrepreneurial spirit. I have a passion for entertaining, and crave that intimate moment when you watch someone taste something extraordinary for the first time.
I love to throw elaborate dinner parties. About 10 years ago I threw a party where I first baked the Lavender Tea Cookies. People loved them. So I'd bring them out every now and then, playing around with different herbs and spices to suit the evening’s mood. The gourmet tea cookies are always a great success. Many times throughout the years people have suggested that I sell them, but I’d usually chalk these notions up to serving a lot of wine during the dinner parties.
After much prodding five years ago, I went so far as to start to write a business plan. But I heard no and felt no divine confirmation of heading in the right direction. I tabled it. Then I woke up in the middle of the night last year with an overwhelming confidence that it was now time. So I spent the year doing research and spending loads of time in the kitchen baking. And I launched this company for me and for all of you who encouraged and inspired me. It has been a long time coming. From my heart and head comes the deepest sense of gratitude.
