Botanical Bakery, LLC Unveils New Brand and New Flavors at Winter Fancy Food Show


Napa Valley, California, January 17, 2010 - Botanical Bakery, who recently celebrated their one-year anniversary, is exhibiting for the first time at the Winter Fancy Foods Show unveiling an overhauled brand identity, package design and the introduction of a brand new exotic flavor.


“Exhibiting at the Fancy Foods Show is a dream come true for us. We can't think of a better place to introduce the culinary world our new brand and packaging,” says Sondra Wells, owner and Chief Indulgence Office at Botanical Bakery. "As most food artisans can attest, there is an inspired moment when you watch someone taste something extraordinary for the first time. We embrace that moment (and often times, embrace our new customers as well)!”

 

Botanical Bakery is also launching the newest flavor in their Garden Shortbread Cookie lineup – Ginger Squared. All the buttery goodness you've come to know in Botanical Bakery’s other Garden Shortbread Cookies, incorporating Ginger People's Crystallized Ginger Chips and Ginger Puree into the new recipe for a subtle infusion of ginger. 


The company learned much this past year about the specialty food industry, seeking out premium ingredient partners like Straus Family Creamery and Giusto’s Flour. After a year of perfecting the recipe, the final ingredient was having a brand that represents the sheer pleasure of subtle flavors merged with the rich buttery texture of organic butter and organic herbs and spices to create the perfect shortbread cookie for shortbread lovers and aficionados.


The company was fortunate to come across DBD International headed by Branding Jedi David Brier. "Botanical Bakery has a fantastically addictive product,” said Brier. “The challenge was to introduce a bit of theater to make the products come alive in the minds of consumers. Sondra’s passion for her product was a quality I love in clients. This became the inspiration for a brand makeover to introduce the product to a whole new legion of foodies who are gourmet shortbread lovers. This new brand image is playful, mischief and contagious, with an upper crust flair—just like the cookies."
